1. Visit the Social Health Authority Website

Head to the Source: Open your web browser and visit the official Social Health Authority (SHA) website. This is where your journey to SHIF membership begins.

Become an Individual Member: On the homepage, locate the bright “Register Individual” button and click it. This opens the registration portal specifically designed for individuals like you.

Read the Terms and Conditions Carefully: A pop-up window will appear displaying the terms and conditions for SHA registration. Take a moment to carefully review these terms before clicking “Proceed” to continue.

2. Provide Your Personal Details

Identify Yourself: Now it’s time to share some information. Select your ID type from the options provided, be it your National ID or another valid form of identification.

Fill in the Authentication Details: Enter your ID number and phone number in the designated fields. Once everything is filled in, click on “Proceed” to move to the next step.

3. Verification and Uploads

Check Your Info: The system will display some of your personal details based on your ID number. This includes your:

b) date of birth,

c) place of birth,

4. Employer Details

Find Your Employer: In the “Employer Name Search” field, type in your employer’s name. Once you enter the name, the system should automatically populate your employer’s KRA PIN.

Personal Matters: Now, let’s get personal. Select your current civil status (single, married, divorced, etc.) and indicate whether you live with a disability by choosing the appropriate option.

Stay Connected: Review and confirm your contact information, including your address, primary and alternative phone numbers, and email address.

5. Finalize Your Application

Location, Location, Location: Under the “Address” section, fill in your place of residence.

National Pride: Select your nationality from the list of options provided.

Review and Proceed: The system will display a summary of all the information you’ve provided. Carefully review everything to ensure accuracy. Once you’re confident, click “Next” to move to the final step.

Final Check and Submit: On the review page, take another moment to ensure all details are correct. If satisfied, click “Submit” to finalize your SHIF application.

6. Create Your Login

Secure Your Access: After submitting your application, you’ll be prompted to set up a secure 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). This PIN will be used for future logins to the SHA platform. Choose a PIN you can remember but is difficult for others to guess.

7. Confirmation
